A UCLA Anderson School GAP Team held 215 interviews with analysts, experts, competitors, potential partners and clients and recommended that Identity Broker (IdB) be sold in the US through a Regional SI channel. The team defined IdB as a “middleware software solution that enhances efficiency and creates flexibility in building connections between systems, translates data between disparate systems, and allows various systems to communicate and share information." They found that key benefits are "its repeatable structure, which significantly reduces the amount of time and work required to build or update interconnectivity within an IAM solution”, and “increase in efficiency by ensuring that the flow of information is managed by a single overriding source of identity information." IdB “essentially helps companies achieve user controls over technology enterprises and reach compliance with stringent governmental regulations surrounding IT security and access controls in a faster way”

18 Feb, 2011 Canberra and Goulburn Catholic Education Office to implement an Empower HR provisioning system
The Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Catholic Education Office has chosen UNIFY to design and implement an Identity Management (IdM) solution based upon Empower HR, Active Directory and eDirectory using FIM as the IdM platform. This foundation will provide the platform to build upon and extend as part of their Identity Management strategic roadmap. Extending from Eden on the south coast, to Crookwell in the North, through to the western point of Lake Cargelligo, the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn covers both the ACT and NSW. There are 56 system schools in the Archdiocese comprising 4 secondary colleges, 5 central schools and 19 primary schools in NSW: 4 secondary schools, 24 primary schools and 2 Early Learning Centres in the ACT. Additionally, there are 3 Congregational schools located in the ACT. This school system educates over 20,000 children and employs over 1300 teachers and a Catholic Education Office of approximately 80 staff members who support these schools

UNIFY Solutions has released Identity Broker for IBM's Tivoli Access Manager to provide tightly coupled integration and interaction between Tivoli Access Manager and any supported Identity Management Platform for the synchronization of identity information across the enterprise. It allows organisations with non IBM identity management platforms to easily select and integrate Tivoli Access Manager. This Identity Broker is built from the ground up to use a combination of LDAP for speed of reconciliation, and the Tivoli Access Manager APIs for compliance with the business rules built into the Tivoli Access Manager product. This combination allows for integration in very large enterprises while maintaining the flexibility that is also present within the Tivoli Access Manager product for customization. Architecturally the products can co-exist in a single network, or deployed securely across several domains, or even the internet.

Brisbane Catholic Education has successfully implemented the foundation phase of its Identity Management Project, allowing for data synchronisation between Talent2 HRIS, Microsoft Active Directory and MXL eMinerva using Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 as its identity engine. Utilising UNIFY’s Identity Broker and Event Broker products, BCE is now able to realise the benefits of automatic provisioning, management and termination of teachers and staff in Active Directory and their school management system (eMinerva). Using the Talent2 HR system as the authoritative source for all Identity information, the solution also manages Active Directory security group membership based on HR data. Chris also has a very strong background in Active Directory to complement his Identity Management profile.
