UNIFY releases Identity Broker for IBM Tivoli Access Manager
UNIFY Solutions has released Identity Broker for IBM's Tivoli Access Manager to provide tightly coupled integration and interaction between Tivoli Access Manager and any supported Identity Management Platform for the synchronization of identity information across the enterprise. It allows organisations with non IBM identity management platforms to easily select and integrate Tivoli Access Manager.
This Identity Broker is built from the ground up to use a combination of LDAP for speed of reconciliation, and the Tivoli Access Manager APIs for compliance with the business rules built into the Tivoli Access Manager product. This combination allows for integration in very large enterprises while maintaining the flexibility that is also present within the Tivoli Access Manager product for customization.
Architecturally the products can co-exist in a single network, or deployed securely across several domains, or even the internet.

Brisbane Catholic Education Implements Talent2 Provisioning System incorporating eMinerva
Brisbane Catholic Education has successfully implemented the foundation phase of its Identity Management Project, allowing for data synchronisation between Talent2 HRIS, Microsoft Active Directory and MXL eMinerva using Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 as its identity engine. Utilising UNIFY’s Identity Broker and Event Broker products, BCE is now able to realise the benefits of automatic provisioning, management and termination of teachers and staff in Active Directory and their school management system (eMinerva). Using the Talent2 HR system as the authoritative source for all Identity information, the solution also manages Active Directory security group membership based on HR data. Brisbane Catholic Education is a learning community of all involved in diocesan Catholic schools and the staff of the Brisbane Catholic Education Centre. With over 137 schools, Brisbane Catholic Education aims to provide quality teaching and learning outcomes for Prep to Year 12 students.

Tattersalls implements chris²¹ Provisioning System
Tattersalls has selected UNIFY Solutions to implement a provisioning system using Frontier Software’s chris²¹ and Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) 2007 as key components. The system will provide data synchronization of multiple AD stores into one chris²¹ HR System.

Microsoft releases Forefront Identity Manager 2010 (FIM) RC1
FIM 2010 (formerly known as "ILM2") is the new identity management platform from Microsoft and will replace ILM 2007. It significantly improves Microsoft’s enterprise identity management offering with improved performance, new features, enhanced user interface, impressive scalability. It offers powerful self-service capabilities for Office end-users, rich administrative tools and enhanced automation for IT professionals, and .NET and WS-* based extensibility for developers.
While the final release is scheduled for the end of Q1 2010, customers are starting to commit to the product and UNIFY’s suite of products including Event Broker and Identity Broker are FIM ready for those UNIFY customers planning to upgrade.

Chris Cox joins UNIFY to develop its APAC Training Academy and Microsoft Identity Management Centre of Excellence
UNIFY Managing Director Mark Goodall today announced the appointment of Chris Cox from the Oxford Computer Group to develop UNIFY’s IdM Training Academy and to provide mentoring for UNIFY customers across the region. Chris brings authoritative skills in ILM, ADAM/AD LDS, Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) and Live@Edu (Outlook Live) technologies. With the Oxford Computer Group, Chris was responsible for writing, and delivering technical training in IAM for engineers in large global corporations; delivering pre-release ILM2 (FIM) courses for Microsoft throughout the world; and deploying ILM for Live@Edu to universities and colleges in the UK and abroad. Chris also has a very strong background in Active Directory to complement his Identity Management profile. Chris will assist UNIFY customers with advice ranging from the strategies to take with Microsoft products through to the training of their staff on the platforms they have chosen.

Commonwealth Department of Finance and Deregulation implements Aurion based Provisioning Solution
UNIFY Regional Manager Terry Kimball announced today that the Commonwealth Department of Finance and Deregulation has successfully deployed a complex provisioning system which provisions, maintains and de-provisions user identities between the Department's Aurion HR system, network services, and custom developed applications. In this environment a user account can be provisioned and automatically given appropriate access to any or all of the connected systems, dependent on business requirements, with minimal human interaction or potential for error.
The Department engaged UNIFY Solutions to assist design and implement the system.

UNIFY announces Identity Broker for Cisco CallManager (CCM)
UNIFY Managing Director, Mark Goodall, today announced that UNIFY has extended its Identity Broker suite to include Cisco CallManager. As part of the Identity Broker suite, both Cisco CallManager can now be part of an automated, real-time enterprise Identity Management solution.
UNIFY Product Group Manager Shane Day stated that Identity Broker for Cisco CallManager will allow unprecedented levels of integration between Identity Management platforms and organisation’s vital telephony systems. “This will allow Cisco CallManager to be authoritive for identity details like phone number, while automating the provisioning of users into CallManager,” he said. “Like the entire Identity Broker suite, this broker can allow Cisco CallManager to participate regardless of the Identity Management platform used.”

South Australian SACE Board chooses UNIFY Password Reset Manager
UNIFY Solutions today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the SACE Board of South Australia to provide its Password Reset Manager to enable users to reset their password, with a series of challenge response questions to verify their identity. Password Reset Manager will also reset system lock-outs, as a result of a user entering an incorrect password multiple times. It is expected that this solution will provide a 24x7 service to all users, and strengthen existing identity management processes at the Board.
UNIFY was selected following the evaluation of an RFQ for the solution issued in September 2008.
The SACE Board of South Australia serves Year 11 and 12 students in all schools, and administers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). The SACE is an internationally recognised qualification.
